Living Here

Practical information for everyone who lives at Victoria Park Residences.

Noise & behaviour

Simple ways to help everyone enjoy living here.

1

Keep everyday noise reasonable

Music, televisions, instruments and other sound should be kept at a level that does not disturb another apartment or people using common property.

2

Reduce unavoidable noise

If noise cannot be avoided, close doors, windows and curtains and take any other practical steps that reduce its effect on neighbours.

3

Help guests leave quietly after 10 pm

Residents are responsible for taking reasonable steps to ensure their visitors do not interfere with another person’s peaceful enjoyment of their home or the common areas.

If noise or behaviour is affecting you

Most issues are resolved quickly when they are raised early and calmly. If it feels safe and comfortable, a courteous conversation with your neighbour is often the best first step.

Keep it respectful start early

If the issue continues

  • Keep a brief record of the dates, times and type of disturbance
  • Contact the building manager for help with an ongoing building or common-area issue
  • Use the noise or problem report when the matter needs a written follow-up
Report an ongoing noise or behaviour issue

This is a practical summary of By-laws 2 and 7. The registered Community Management Statement takes precedence.
