Applications are considered individually
Provide details for every animal you would like to keep. Approval may include reasonable conditions based on the animal and the circumstances of the building.
Be considerate in shared areas
Keep pets under control on common property, minimise noise and interference, and clean up waste immediately. Follow the conditions included with your written approval.
How to apply
The process differs depending on whether you own or rent your apartment. In either case, wait for the required written approvals before the pet moves in.

Complete the body corporate pet application for each animal and provide the requested supporting information.

Request your lessor or property manager’s approval using RTA Form 21. You will also need body corporate approval. The two requests can be progressed together; ask your property manager or owner to coordinate the BCsystems application.

- Name, animal type or breed, sex, weight and age
- Council registration number, where applicable
- Whether the pet is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped
- A recent photo and supporting documents such as a registration certificate
Guide, hearing and assistance dogs covered by the relevant legislation do not require body corporate approval under By-law 12.
